Thought Bubble - Daily 5 Minute Meditation on Love

 

In these degenerate times, doing this brief 5 minute meditation on love can give you a vast amount of good karma, so be sure to do the dedication at the end to safeguard it.

We want to get into our meditation posture. We want to sit with our backs as straight as possible without feeling uncomfortable. Close your eyes to minimize distractions.

We can think to ourselves, “I am doing this meditation to improve my mind, so that I may benefit everyone I come into contact with either directly or indirectly.”

We can imagine as many people or animals in front of us that we wish to send love to. We can include as many living beings that we are comfortable with.

Once we have pictured as many living beings in front of us that we can, we can then imagine our chosen deity or our higher self above us. We can imagine they are sending us pure love in the form of white light and nectar from their heart, gently flowing down to the crown of our head where it enters our body and flows down to our heart. Our heart becomes completely filled with this pure love and then radiates throughout our entire body so we become a container of pure love. We then imagine that we have so much love flowing down to us that we can share it with all of those standing before us.

We imagine we gently send this pure love in the form of white light and nectar to the hearts of all the beings we see before us. Each and everyone of their hearts becomes completely filled with pure love. We can see how happy they have become, how peaceful and content they are now that they have this love we have given them.

We can rejoice that we have done this with the help of our deity or higher self. We can hold on to this feeling of rejoicing at the level of our hearts.

We can thank our deity or higher self for helping us to do this.

Now before we come out of meditation we can think to ourselves, “I wish to dedicate this virtuous action of meditation to all living beings that we may all experience this feeling of pure love in our hearts as soon as possible.”

Now taking as much time as you need, you can slowly open your eyes and come out of the meditation.

The God Realm

The god realm is the opposite to the hell realm that we looked at last week. This realm is the most difficult to take rebirth in, whereas hell is the easiest. That is because we have a tendency to be self grasping and do negative actions to benefit ourselves, rather than doing things to benefit others. Society today glorifies selfish, greedy people and ways of living, which exacerbates these tendencies and makes it impossible to take rebirth in a god realm. We need a massive amount of positive karma to be able to be born in a higher realm. This means we have to spend most of, if not all of our time benefiting others, instead of always trying to fulfill our own desires. We need to engage in virtuous actions such as giving, having patience, wishing others to be happy and so forth.
