Hell Realm

There seems to be some strange trend that people refuse to believe a place like hell exists. Some people think this is a fear based teaching devised by unscrupulous religions. Some are therefore in denial about it, wanting to keep their heads in the clouds and pretending that life is perfectly happy and nothing ever goes wrong. Strange way to think, because they are usually devastated when anything really bad happens in their life, betrayed by their pollyannish thinking. I am not teaching these things to try to put fear into you, rather I am teaching these because I love you and do not want you to suffer. A hell realm would be the worst rebirth filled with suffering with no relief, that you could take. I want to help prevent you from ever going there, again. Yes, again. The idea that you have one life, and at the end of it you either go to heaven or hell and spend eternity there is wrong. First of all eternity is forever, so that is impossible because you have this life now and you...

Anger the Second Poison

In the last podcast, we learned that we all suffer from three poisons, attachment, anger and ignorance. We looked at the topic of attachment in that podcast. Today we will examine anger and how it poisons our mind and causes us great suffering. We have all experienced anger at different times in our life. Some of us experience this emotion daily. The more familiar we are with feeling this emotion the easier it is for anger to arise within us. You may know of people that get angry at every little thing or people that are so stressed out in their life that they fly off the handle easily. Our anger can consume us. I grew up in a such a dysfunctional family, and I was angry most of my young life at the unfair treatment my brothers and I had to go through. When you grow up in a toxic environment of abuse, it is easy to have a mind familiar with anger. On the other end, I have known people that claim they don't get angry anymore and then watched them get angry at some point later ...

Attachment the First Poison

We all suffer from the three poisons. You may have heard me pray to overcome those at the beginning of these podcasts. The three poisons are attachment, anger and ignorance. The three are closely intertwined. Some believe the three are equal in the damage they do, while some believe that ignorance is the root of all evil. They believe that ignorance creates anger and attachment. Today we will be focusing on attachment and the damage it creates, so that you can learn how to free yourself from this poison. Attachment is the feeling we get whenever we desire something. We are attached to things we are afraid of losing. We can be attached to people, animals, spirits, material possessions, places, jobs, ways of being, ways of living, belief systems, expectations and mostly ourselves. We become attached to the idea of wanting to be happy all the time. We can become attached to anything really. We may not think there is anything wrong with feeling attachment, but there is real danger t...

Watchful Mind Meditation

We want to sit in our meditation posture, if you are sitting in a chair have your feet flat on the ground. Sit with your back as straight as possible without being uncomfortable. Place your left hand palm up and then your right hand palm up. Place your right hand on top of your left and gently touch your thumbs together. Place your hands in your lap and point your thumbs towards your belly button. Then slightly lower your chin. Close your eyes to reduce any distractions. We can think to ourselves, my forehead is relaxed and allow yourself to become relaxed. We can think my eyes are relaxed and feel the tension around your eyes soften. My face is relaxed. My jaw is relaxed. My entire head is completely relaxed. My throat is warm and comfortable. My neck is relaxed. My shoulders are relaxed and free of all tension and stress. Just let it go. My upper arms are relaxed. My lower arms and hands are relaxed. My chest is open, warm and relaxed. My stomach is relaxed and free of all stress ...

Finding Your Spiritual Path

If you are looking for a religion or spiritual practice in life, try to find one that fits you. Many of us were born into families that have religious beliefs that just don't sit right with us and it is okay to walk away from it and explore other options that are more suited to us. I was raised Christian but had a hard time believing in 'God'. It didn't make sense to me. I went to the library and researched and read about different religions until I found one that matched the beliefs I had already. You see I have always believed in re-incarnation, although I was never taught about it. I brought this imprinting with me from past lives. Eventually, I found Buddhism which aligned with the things I felt and believed already. I was looking for the truth and believe I found it with Buddhism. Not long after, I also discovered Shamanism and this aligned closely with Buddhism for me, so it was a good fit. I consider both of them to be spiritual paths rather than religions. ...

Thought Bubble - Have You Prepared for Your Future Lives?

If you have learned and understand that past lives exist, then it is only logical that you will live again in new lives in the future. The question is, have you done anything to prepare for any of them? Most people spend this one brief life that they currently have trying to fulfill all of their desires in a vain attempt for perfection. It will never happen because they are trying to get everything outside of themselves perfect in order to finally be satisfied. It is impossible to get everything in life perfect. No one has a perfect life, so just about everyone is wasting their time and efforts to get rich, or famous or whatever it is they think they need to finally be happy. They are blind to reality and are ignorant of the truth. This is only one life out of countless numbers of lives we have had and we will experience. Throughout most of our lives, we have spent our time trying for this outer perfection that cannot be achieved. We only focus on the life we are currently livin...

Thought Bubble - How to Reduce Some of Your Problems

If you want to reduce some of the troubles you find yourself having, then try to let go of your expectations. Expectations can bring us a lot of problems. If we expect things to happen in our life and then they don't, we can become miserable. If we expect people to treat us a certain way and they don't, we may become upset. When we place expectations on ourselves, we can be disappointed if we don't meet those demands. We need to learn that we can become very attached to our expectations and this can make things seem worse than they really are. Expectations affect every aspect of our lives. We need to let go of some of them. It is good practice to try your best to reduce your expectations in life. This will help to give you more peace, as you won't be getting as upset at how things happen around you. You will be more content in your life when you learn to accept things as they are more. If you examine your life and your behaviours, do find you have a lot of e...

Spirit Conversation - Message From Chief Sitting Bull

This message come from the spirit helper that I have who says he is Chief Sitting Bull. He asked me to write this down and to share it with you. Chief Sitting Bull said, “You are at your weakest when you act out in your anger. This is when your self grasping has a strong hold on you. Although you may feel powerful it is your ego puffed out of proportion. In these moments you do great damage through harming others, but mostly harming yourself through your own actions. The consequences at a future time will haunt you. Those that seek revenge have the weakest minds of all.” Thank you for taking the time to listen to this brief, but powerful message. We hope that it will benefit you.    You can find the recorded podcast for this here:  https://youtu.be/Acb-n1c_rBQ

Thought Bubble - Daily 5 Minute Meditation on Love

In these degenerate times, doing this brief 5 minute meditation on love can give you a vast amount of good karma, so be sure to do the dedication at the end to safeguard it. We want to get into our meditation posture. We want to sit with our backs as straight as possible without feeling uncomfortable. Close your eyes to minimize distractions. We can think to ourselves, “I am doing this meditation to improve my mind, so that I may benefit everyone I come into contact with either directly or indirectly.” We can imagine as many people or animals in front of us that we wish to send love to. We can include as many living beings that we are comfortable with. Once we have pictured as many living beings in front of us that we can, we can then imagine our chosen deity or our higher self above us. We can imagine they are sending us pure love in the form of white light and nectar from their heart, gently flowing down to the crown of our head where it enters our body and flows do...

We can close our eyes to prevent distractions. We will start off with a relaxation by thinking to ourselves, My forehead is relaxed and allow yourself to relax. We can think my eyes are relaxed and feel the tension around our eyes dissipate. My face is relaxed. My entire head is completely relaxed. My throat is warm and comfortable. My neck is relaxed. Thought Bubble - Careful Where You Step

Please be careful of where you are walking. We need to be more mindful and in the present moment as we walk around. That means being mindful of your surroundings and who is there, not paying attention to your cell phone or some other device. If we aren't mindful we can unwittingly gather a lot of negative karma for ourselves. If you are walking around your home, go around your pets that are laying on the floor instead of stepping over them. The same goes with any person, you do not want to step over them if you can avoid it. This is especially important when it comes to stepping over someone's head. Never step over their head, that is very bad karma and completely disrespectful. That goes for humans, animals and insects, whether indoors or outdoors. It is really difficult to do that with insects, but try if you can. If you cannot avoid stepping over someone then try not to step over their head at least. Although it can be difficult, we need to try our best not to step...

Thought Bubble - Guided Alternate Breathing Meditation - Good for Beginners

For this breathing meditation we will not be following the breath on it's journey into and out of our bodies, but we will be concentrating on our abdomen. If we are breathing properly our abdomen will expand when we inhale and deflate when we exhale. If you find that your shoulders are rising and falling with your breath then you are breathing too shallow and this may be from too much stress. You need to try to breath more deeply and purposefully into your abdomen. Remember, if you catch your mind wandering during the meditation you are not failing, but actually succeeding because you are become more aware of your mind and beginning to gain control over it. This meditation will include a relaxation technique, a healing technique, the virtuous motivation or intention, the meditation itself, the virtuous dedication to keep our good karma safe and then the return process. So, let's get started. We need to get into our meditation posture. Sitting in a chair, we place ...

Live The Good Way © Overcoming Negative Habits

Hopefully, you are making positive changes to your life and working towards becoming the best version of you. If you are anything like me, you will probably run into difficulties. You might be struggling to stop engaging in negative behaviours, whether that is lying, stealing, or harming others in other ways. They become habits and we can do these things without even being aware we are doing them. We can mindlessly punch our friend in the arm as a joke or when they upset us. We may be so familiar with lying that we have trouble even knowing what is true anymore. We could suffer from being a kleptomaniac or some other problem. The more we do negative things, the more often we automatically do them with no thought behind them really. The problem is that we have undisciplined minds and we usually do what our mind or ego tells us to do rather than trying to control our impulses. Trying to stop doing these things when it is almost our nature to do them can be tricky and overwhelming a...
